2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for both of the Disneys as the properties add new, amazing attractions, characters, restaurants, and more! And with the specials we're offering, your family vacation just got more affordable.

The mouse that started it all!

In summer 2019, we’ll get our first glimpse of California's new attraction: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Housed in the Chinese Theatre with a new facade, this ride will start with a brand-new “short” cartoon. Rumors are that you pass through the movie screen and become part of the show. Goofy will be the engineer on your journey with Mickey and Minnie. Twists and turns and 3D-ish graphics make this special tribute to Mickey a treat you won’t want to miss!

The Incredibles going strong!

Starting in January and running through Sept. 30, 2019, you’ll be able to party with The Incredibles at Pixar Place. Strike a pose with the Incredibles family... rock the dance floor... go on a hunt for Jack-Jack... it all adds up to incredible fun!

Hang with the King!

The Lion King, that is. On the 25th anniversary of the “Lion King,” you’ll be able to celebrate with the new Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party at Animal Kingdom. Head to Discovery Island and party with Timon and Rafiki, enjoy games, music, and dancing with some of your favorite Disney characters.

Star Wars fan?

Star Wars' Galaxy’s Edge is opening ahead of schedule on May 31st at Disneyland Resort. Guests who are planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from May 31-June 23rd, 2019 will need valid theme park admission and will be required to make a no-cost reservation to access the land. The reservations are subject to availability. Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels during these dates will receive a designated reservation to access the land during their stay.

The attraction will open at Disney World in late fall this year. Both will feature Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with appearances from Chewbacca and Hondo Ohnaka!. Plus Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance -- a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Rumors are that Kylo Ren might even make an appearance.

New resort at Disney World

Disney’s Riviera Resort will be opening in fall 2019. This resort will feature a full range of accommodations from studios to 3 bedroom villas. It will also be located along the new air gondola system named the Disney Skyliner. The Skyliner will also be debuting in fall 2019. Please check with your travel agent for official opening dates and booking information.

Want to explore the world with the magic of Disney?

Adventures by Disney has escorted tours all over the world that offer exciting itineraries and world-renowned Disney service. Every tour has 2 guides who will offer cultural insight and tips for your destination.

Money-saving tips:

  • Bring your own food! Disney food is delicious but expensive! Bring your own water bottle and some snacks to get you through the day.
  • Eat dinner early! If you eat dinner around 4 pm, you will avoid the typical dinner rush and avoid long wait times for popular restaurants. And that means more time in the park when everyone is eating dinner. And more time for dessert later!
  • Take advantage of the extra magic hours! These times are designated for Disney resort guests so there are fewer people in the park. It is early but it is worth it to have 15-minute  wait times for all popular attractions!

These are just a few new things Disney has in store to make a Disney vacation a truly magical experience! Would you like to explore more options for a vacation to the happiest place on earth?
